Roaddddddddd Trippppppppp!
We have been so busy lately that we decided we needed a vacation. But due to conflicting work schedules, we just couldn't find the right time to take one. So we decided on a quick road trip for the weekend down south.
First stop, Six Flags in Valencia. It was a great way to break up the long drive and they have a Thomas Town, perfect for our little man.
Next stop, Disneyland. I forgot that the happiest place on earth, really is true to its name. We had been before when Kyle was around 18 months I believe, but he's almost 3 and I must say it was the perfect time to take him. He was able to understand why we had to wait in lines. He said "wow" fifty million times, and just had a smile on his face the entire time. The weather was perfect, and it wasn't super crowded.
The weekend went by way too fast, but we plan on making this a yearly tradition. Next time we will stay in Anaheim much longer!
Love my friends.....
But they really pissed me off when they moved hundreds of miles away from me! ;)
Anywho...moving on...last weekend we went to LA and Tiffani and crew were nice enough to come down from San Diego to visit us. We spent a couple of hours at our hotel water park and pool, swimming and sitting in the sun enjoying each others company, but it was way too short of a visit. The following Tuesday Vicci was in town with Nicholas for work and we were able to spend a couple of hours together as well. Nicky and Kyle spent the entire time laughing and running and making a really weird noise, not sure where that came from, but it was pretty funny to watch!
Every time we see each other its as if months have not passed, I guess thats why we've remained such great friends for years. I'm still mad at them for moving, but I guess I'll get over it one of these years, I can still give them crap about it everytime we talk!
Telephoneeeee!
This morning in our hotel gift shop Kyle was talking on a fake Mickey Mouse phone, and I hear him saying "ya...ah-huh...ok," then he hands it to me and says "phone Mama, it's Elmo"

Daddy Daycare
Dom took the day off to start his vacation early. When I got home, I saw this...
Doms not one for attention, but I love, love, love, that he wanted to match Kyle today! Such a small gesture makes me think about how much he loves being a dad!
P.S. Yes, I think its time for a sandbox!
Small step, but big step for my little man!
Today at Little Gym's circle time, Teacher Justin went around and asked everyone to say their name and age in front of the class. For the first time since Kyle started going there he responded with a big "Kyle!" He decided to run instead of finishing his age, but if you know my shy little guy, he is horrible at hellos, and great at "Bye-Bye's". Of course I wasn't there to witness it, but I am very proud of him!
Pink Eggs & Pink Eye
Not the best title, but the best fitting for this years festivities. As you can see we had to stay home this year, we missed out on our traditional spring clothing, mimosas and egg hunt with the family. I do not think he's contagious anymore but I didn't want to scare away any of the mothers we'd be around cause he still looks like he went 12 rounds with Rocky Balboa!
Kyle's finally old enough to participate and enjoy egg dying, we ended up painting them cause they were MESSY!The Easter Bunny left Kyle a Tonka Basket full of some fun stuff. When he woke up (from our bed mind you) I watched him walk by and heard a "WOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW! My favorite thing he says in an innocent whisper. He hasn't stopped playing with it all day!
Although we did not get to spend it with the entire family this year, its still my new favorite holiday, 4th of July pffffft, so last year...Happy Easter everybody!P.S. Kyle insisted I take a picture of his snack
