Kyle's Baptism

Saturday was a very special day.  Our little man was officially baptized, or as he would say "Kyle took a bath!"  We are elated he has started his relationship with God and that he is going to lead him on his life journey.

We have been putting it off for literally 3 years, overwhelmed with a newborn, then going through the terrible 2's and well, it was just time.  He behaved like a champ throughout the entire ceremony.  Of course it didn't hurt that I had a brand new garbage truck handy (which he didn't let go of for one second, I am pretty sure it got baptized too).

It was a small crowd because I didn't want to overwhelm him, well really cause the less witnesses the better in case he threw a fit or screamed ;).  It turned out to be such a fun day.
P.S. Deacon Fox rocks!

And now you are 3

How old are you? "Freeeeeeeeeeee!"  Yes, I can't believe it!
You are so tall now, and more curious then ever..."Hey, whats that noise?".  You say "NO" to me more times a day then I can count.  I call you the Gentle Giant because you've never stolen a toy from another playmate, you always share, you are admirably sweet, and probably the cuddliest kid I've ever seen.  You can't drink your milk without running your fingers through someones hair.  You make your fathers expressions and definitely have my shyness.  You could sit in your sandbox for hours if we let you, and you talk about it when your not in it.  At times you are very polite..."Kyle go to bed!"..."No, no thank you!" Did I mentioned you HATE bedtime? I love that you always have a truck or train in your hand when you leave the house.  You are the only one who can tolerate my singing voice, and even asks for "morn" (more).  You still think Peek-a-Boo is hillarious, but your all time favorite thing to play is chase.  You dance every chance you get, even when the oven timer goes off.  You are now obsessed with garbage trucks, firetrucks and tractors (of course after Mama and Papa spent way too much $$ on Thomas the Train stuff).
You are quite the handful but you always manage to make us laugh.  I am sad you do not call buses "butts" anymore..."Look Mama a big butt!" and I dread the day you will not want to hold my hand, or have me pick you up when your not too sure about something.  I love how you have changed my life forever.  Your are now 3 years old but you will always be my baby.
Love, Mama
