Gingerbread Train

For the first time ever in my life I made a gingerbread house.  Well when you have a 3 year old boy, you make a gingerbread train :) and let me tell you Target makes it sooooo easy (love you Target!)

Now lets just hope it holds up over night!

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas

This street in San Carlos does an amazing job decorating their houses, one time when we went they even had fake snow.  Such a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.  One day our house will look like this!

Now if only I can convince Kyle to take a picture with Santa!

Kyle and I were playing Monster Trucks (of course) and he got up to go and get some more...

My Precious Son

Look at that face, so sweet and innocent.........

but come bedtime..N-I-G-H-T-M-A-R-E!!!!

He is so good at naps, practically crawls right into bed around 2 o'clock.  But when nightime comes around we hear "I can't go to sleep!" about seventy two times before he actually hops into his bed.  Last night, which is a typical night went a little something like this...

Mama:  "Ok get in your bed please"

Kyle:  "I can't go to bed"

Mama:  "Why not?"

Kyle:  "um...um..I need five more minutes"

Mama:  "You've had about three five more minutes"

Kyle:  "How bout read a book?"
Mama:  "We've read plenty of books"
Kyle:  "I need Mr. Owl"

Mama:  "OK, here you go"

Kyle:  "I need milk"

Mama:  "You already had milk"

Kyle:  "Juice"

Mama:  "Um no"

Kyle:  "How bout water"

Mama:  "How bout no, close your eyes"

10 seconds goes bye, and he starts to whisper

Kyle:  "The issy bissy spider..."

Mama:  "Kyle please be quiet and close your eyes"

Kyle:  "I can't I'm singing!"

Mama:  "Kyle!"

Kyle:  "I can't go to sleep...I'm too heavy"

Mama:  "Ky...!"

Kyle:  "I'm too big"

Mama:  "Shhh, please roll over and go to bed"
Kyle:  "Mom, I'm talking to youuuuuuuuuuuuu!"
Mama:  "I know but its time to sleep!"
Kyle:  "I need your hair"

Mama:  "Good night Kyle, I love you"

Kyle:  "Good night, yuv you!"

20 seconds goes bye...

Kyle:  "A, B, C, D, Eeeeeeeeee..."

And then the cycle starts all over again for a good 30 to 60 minutes.  Its exhausting!

Now you know why Dom and I take turns putting him to bed!
