Kyle has a new hobby

He gets so excited when I put the apron on and lay out the paper and paint, but he doesn't do it for too long, cause he says "yucky" and "too messy Mama" the entire time!

Yesterday Kyle said "Good Morning Banana".  Love him!

Yes my son was at a bar...

But its more of a restaurant then a bar, and it was St. Patty's Day!  Kyle's best friend Draven's dad is a singer in a band and he played at 8pm so we were able to bring the kids, it was a great night!

Road Tripppppppppppppppp

We decided to cure our cabin fever and take a last minute trip to Sacramento.  Look at how excited Kyle is.  hehe

The train museum was great, Kyle was able to see his favorite thing in the world up close.  There were some great model trains and towns, and of course we couldn't leave without stopping by the gift store (my favorite part).

After the train museum we went to lunch on a boat (The Delta King).  Kyle was such a trooper, it was nap time but instead of throwing a fit when he got a little restless we sat him next to the window and he just watched the boats go bye.

When we came out of lunch we heard marching band music.  The St. Patricks Day parade had just started, such perfect timing.  Grandpa Art was nice and tall and Kyle was able to watch the parade from the perfect view.

After the parade we hung out at Debras house with Nellie (Grandpa Arts dog) and Skeezy (Debras cat), by that time Kyle was running on fumes so it was time to hit the road so he could get a quick nap in before hitting the Wyants house.

His cousin Kurti just loves Kyle, he looks at him and smiles and spends the entire time trying to squeeze in as many hugs as possible.  They spent a lot of time playing with some GeoTrax and Kurti taught Kyle all his fishes names. But the only thing Kyle was interested in was the Nemo statue in the tank.  He watched some tv with his cousin AJ, I saw them sitting on the couch and talking to each other but had no idea what they were talking about.  I love watching all of them interact, it makes me so happy.  Its a shame we live so far apart from each other, otherwise we could do this every weekend!

It ended up being a perfect Saturday, we rocked out to music the entire way up and the entire way back. I am so proud of my little man, he behaved himself ALL DAY.  It was so last minute, that if we planned it ahead of time it would'nt have worked out any better.

Me vs. The Potty

I know what your thinking, it should be Kyle vs. The Potty...nope.
With Preschool just around the corner its getting to be about that time. I have dreaded this "milestone" more then I dreaded child birth (well maybe not). But it has always been in the back of my mind since I changed his first diaper for some reason. We have had this potty for a couple of weeks now, the video is still in the wrapper, and Kyle has only sat on it once...for about 1.2 seconds.
Its like I don't even want to try, cause I feel like its going to be a long agonizing process. I picture pee pee all over the floor (ughhhhhhhhh, me=germaphobe), changing soggy sheets every other night and having to bring extra clothes with us everywhere we go since he'd rather play then even stop and eat most of the time.
But, on the other hand, my son is a genius, and he could pick it up just like that. Especially if we can find some Thomas the Tank Engine underwear!
Look at it, its just laughing at me!

We were finally able to eat dinner at a restaurant (if you consider Red Robin a restaurant). Its been sooo long since Kyle will actually sit still for more then five minutes at a time in public. It was so fun being able to order, eat, and enjoy each others company.

P.S. Dom got food poisoning or the flu that night....but it was still a great dinner :/

We're famous....

Well, lets just say Dom and I are officially marked in history in this book that our priest who married us wrote! Last year I received an email from him telling me he wrote another book and used some pictures from our wedding. I didn't think twice about it until I was on amazon browsing last week. Theres a picture of us kissing on page 1 and I just ordered it to see what other pages we may be in...lets just hope he doesn't have any chapters named "Drunk Brides".
